Flipsky FT85BS and FT110BS AS5047P Encoder Wiring and Settings

Flipsky FT85BS and FT110BS AS5047P Encoder Wiring and Settings

Wirings diagram:

Remove some capacitors and resistors as below:

1) Remove the hall sensor 10nF filter capacitor on H1(A),H2(B),H3(C)--(red mark)
2) Replace the 2.2KΩ resistors to be 0Ω resistors on the H1 (A), H2 (B),and H3 (C)--(green mark )

Wiring

1.Connect the FT85BS(FT110BS) with the motor cable
2.Connect the FT85BS(FT110BS) with PC via USB cable
3.Connect the FT85BS(FT110BS) with the battery
4.Connect the FT85BS(FT110BS) with encoder AS5047P.

 Matching pins as belows:

FT85BS/FT110BS (HALL Connector) AS5047P/ AS5048 Encoder(SPI Interface)
3.3V 3.3V
GND GND
H1(A) CS
H2(B) MISO
H3(C) SCK
3.3V MOSI

Notes: Please connect all parts well before power on.

Settings:

1.Connect the ESC to the PC via USB and then open the Flipsky ESC tool V1.6. The corresponding COM port should appear. If not, click "Refresh", then click "Connect" to connect the ESC with the Flipsky ESC tool.

2.Configure the parameters according to your actual setup: "Motor Rated Current", "Li-ion Battery Series", "Cell Cut-Off Voltage", and select "AS5047 Encoder (SPI)" as the motor sensor interface type, as shown below.

3.For testing a single drive, ensure "CAN-BUS" is unchecked. Click the tuning button to start motor matching. A warning dialog about motor parameter identification will appear. After confirming, click "Yes" to enter the motor detection state.

4.The results will appear on the right side.Check the motor detection data to see if normal. If normal, proceed to the next step.

Encoder Data Check

Click "Test and Display" to enter the parameter display interface. Check "Display" to show real-time data. Verify that the input voltage matches your power supply and that the MOSFET temperature is normal.

Rotate the motor by hand. The encoder data should show no abnormalities.
