Differences Between Flipsky Remote VX3 and VX3 Pro

1. The way of switching setting options

The remote VX3: short press the setting button to switch the setting options, and then long press the setting button until the option item blinking. As for remote VX3 PRO: Pull the throttle trigger or press the brake trigger to switch the setting options. And then, short press the setting button until the option item blinking.

2. The way of setting cruise mode

Remote VX3 pro : Short press the power button at desired speed to start cruise mode in any modes, and press any button or pull the throttle trigger to end the cruise mode. Also, we've added cruise mode ON/OFF function to activate or inactivate this function.

The VX3: If Iin ESK8 mode, it is the same setting way as remote VX3 pro. While, in Esurf mode, pull the throttle trigger to a speed you like and then push the brake trigger for 3 seconds to start cruise mode. Press ant button and pull the trigger to end the cruise mode.

3. GPS Function

In the Esurf mode:

When you select the control type “PPM”,”UART” and any ESC type for these two remote controllers, the GPS function will be activated automatically.

However, different situations in the ESK8 mode:

PPM control type: The GPS function will be activated automatically for both VX3 and VX3 pro. 

“UART” or “PPM&UART” control type: For remote VX3 pro, please select GPS Switch function and choose “ON” to activate the GPS function. Regarding remote VX3, the GPS function is not workable in the UART control type.

4. The way of setting wheel diameter&pulley

Different adjustable ranges for these two remote controllers and the PRO version is built with wider range.

Remote VX3: wheel diameter adjustable range is 20-250m and the pulley teeth adjustable range is 20-250. Remote VX3pro: the wheel diameter and pulley teeth adjustable range is 5-999.

5. Auto Lock Function

Firmware V1.8.1 of the VX3 and the firmware V1.0.4 of the VX3 pro have auto lock functions, but pro VX3 pro have added a function to set the automatic screen lock time 1-30S choices.

• Add speed gear level lock function
• Add low battery alarm function for skateboards and surfboards
• Add total mileage display function
• Add the function of modifying the default speed gear level at startup
• Add whether the cruise mode or reverse ON or OFF function and can be set per your needs

• Add three control type:”PPM””UART”“PPM&UART”: please make sure the control type in VESC_Tool settings keeps the same as remote controller to be workable.
