How to Upgrade the E-bike TFT Display from V2.0 to V2.1

To enhance the functionality of the pedal sensor for e-bike users, we have upgraded the TFT E-bike Display from V2.0 to V2.1. How can you upgrade your TFT display to V2.1? This guide will walk you through the process step by step.

New Features in Version 2.1

Compared to V2.0, the V2.1 adds two additional assist levels in the riding interface, providing a total of 6 gears (0–5 gear).

In the ESC interface, V2.1 introduces assist level control along with the display of speed and current assist level. By pressing the buttons +/- in the ESC interface, users can switch between assist levels, and the ERPM will adjust accordingly based on the selected level.

Upgrade Online

Items:
Hardware: USB cable,Patch cord and adapter cable(attached with the product)
Software: FS-VX Remote Update Tool V1.4
Updated Firmware:”20251126 EbikeTFT APP V21.bin”.

Step 1: Connect the E-bike TFT screen to the computer via programming wire

Step 2: Short press the power button to enter the parameters setting interface and then short press the button”+/-”move to “IAP Mode”. And then short press the power button enter the “IAP Mode” interface

Step 3: Open the APP--”FS-VX Remote Update Tool V1.4” and select the corresponding COM port, then click “Open” to build communication between APP and TFT screen

Step 4: Click the “Open Bin File” and then select the file of “20251126 EbikeTFT APP V21.bin”

If update succeeds, the Ebike TFT display will display “Update Succeed”. Then skip to the riding interface.

Note: The main control chips model of V1.0 and V2.0 are different. V1.0 can not updateto V2.0 while V2.0 can update to V2.1.
